Custom Pack School
The schooling offers several courses with experienced and professional instructors.
The courses are designed for :
* The beginner answering the call of the high country.
* The individual wanting to trail ride and pack their own animals safely.
Basic Packing
3 days of instruction
Learn basic horse and mule handling and safety measures, make up balanced loads, tie various hitches, learn different knots, equipment list for back country travel, basic livestock and people First Aid, emergency and survival techniques.
Intermediate Packing
4 days of instruction
Includes room (tent) and board with a 3 day pack trip practicing skills from basics class, learning "Leave no Trace "camping with stock methods, and stock regulations in the back country, shoeing, navigation, emergency and survival techniques.
Custom Pack Class
For the specialized training of SAR (search-rescue) and law enforcement teams

Pack Trips
Spot Camps:
You ride along with the pack string and we pack your gear to a high country campsite. The packer and stock returns to the station and on a pre-determined day returns and brings you out.
One day Spot trips allow the packer to return to the pack station on the same day. Longer trips require the packer to stay overnight and return the following day.
Dunnage trips: ( hiker )
For your round trip or one-way trips, food and gear will be packed to a pre-determined site or destination. Pack mule will carry 20% of his body weight including pack saddle.
Average Load 140-150 lbs.
Extended trips:
For those who like seeing new country each day. The packer and livestock remain with you for the duration of the trip and you can ride or hike the choice is yours.
